Heh, that's a possibility, indeed :-), but I was implicitly thinking of running only Linux on my future iBook, whenever I happen to have the money for it. :-) OTOH, playing DVDs with Linux is not yet nice even with a powerful (x86) machine (although it is getting better fast and my hopes are high). The 2 movies that I have are displayed with nasty interlaced lines. The latest Xine (0.9.2) can play them with a software deinterlacer, but when it is on, the subtitles get distorted and hard to read. Videolan only plays with the images interlaced. :-( So, I guess that the solution would be to be a bit more pragmatic right now and play DVDs with MacOS 9/X, while using the rest being done with Linux. That is, assuming I get that sweet iBook, of couse. :-) Still dreaming of the future laptop, Roger... -- =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Rogério Brito - [EMAIL PROTECTED] - http://www.ime.usp.br/~rbrito/ =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
