I have another mystery plaguing me here. I seem to have the IP connection
happening (to judge from plog), but am unable to connect to anywhere (to judge
from ping) whether I use the URL (which gives me unknown host) or the numerical
designation (which gives me x packets sent, 0 packets returned, 100% packet
loss). I have tried pppconfig a number of different ways and editing
/etc/ppp/peers/provider, /etc/chatscripts/provider, and various other files
manually, all to no avail. It's pretty clear I've got hold of the wrong end of
something, but I don't know what the right end is. I could use all the help
and guidance anybody has to offer. Thanks,
