Are you using the UniNorth AGP driver? Or are you using PCI-GART mode? If you're using the UniNorth AGP driver (if you build AGP GART support directly into your kernel, or are loading it as a module) try not doing so - the UniNorth AGP support is still pretty experimental (that being a nice word for "broken", or potentially so).
