After noticing the "dmasound" thread just recently, I pulled a new rsync of benh's kernel; compiled, and voila!, sound works without the funky set_deq and tumble and keywest hand compiles, YEA!(thanks, btw, to those who hacked out those scripts that got us though till now though). Even the mixer is working.....well sorta. Like it mentioned in the dmasound thread, its not very linear. All volume is in the bottom few % of the control. So I just thought I might post and say thank you to whoever has been doing the work for sound on iBook2's!
also, to ask a favor? When someone fixes the linear volume prob, ....Can you post it? thanks again John H
