because 2.4 kernels don't even have the sysctl when adb keycodes are off. to ensure that things work properly adb keycodes MUST be disabled in the kernel. debians kernel does that, console-data and X depend on that, boot-floppies absolutly depends on that. the decision has been made, the work has been done, the transition is complete. there is no reason to continue whining about it. rtfm and move on. -- Ethan Benson http://www.alaska.net/~erbenson/
