There may still be a problem when booting a kernel on the ATI
128-equipped Powerbooks with console configured to more than 8 bits of
colour depth. Try this in your yaboot.conf:
image=whatever
append=" video=aty128fb:vmode:14,cmode:8"
(This is on my TiBook).
