I did notice one small problem that seems to be new in this kernel. The TiPB display doesn't shut off completely while sleeping. I guess one way to describe it is that it behaves as if the screen is not blank. The backlight is off so it's only noticeable eg. when there's a bright window on a dark desktop. Eventually, after sleeping for some time (hours), the screen sort of "decays" to a bunch of random vertical stripes. What's a little disconcerting is that there's a faint trace of the vertical stripes that remain after coming back from sleep. This is only noticeable when showing something like a solid grey50 background. Fortunately, this goes away after the display is shut off for ~20 minutes either by powering down or by sleeping with an older kernel. Sorry for the non-technical description, but has anyone else noticed this? Gregorio Gervasio, Jr. [EMAIL PROTECTED]
