Well, I just tried 5.0 again, and it does work for me. Weird. Before, it simply segfaulted when I started it. Then again, that was a while ago, when I was also getting random illegal instructions from the dynamic linker... Regardless though, my application does use pthreads, which the CVS version of GDB seems to grok well enough, so I'll probably maintain the gdb-cvs package until 5.1 is released.
