cat zImage > /dev/fd0 and booted this way: boot floppy: root=/dev/fd0 load_ramdisk=1 I don't understand why you installed the system by hand, on my B50 the debian installer worked fine (I did not try making the system bootable). (Most non-french people will not know what a "Mo" is...) -- ciao, Marco
