NO MOUSE

Hi
I have an early G4ppc which I have run Linuxppc, SuSE, and now I want 
to try Debian.
I have a three disk set and have installed the packages and booted 
up_started x but no mouse! I have a Logitech usb wheelman.
Can anybody help please?
