Greetings, I moved from 2.2.17 to 2.2.18pre21 a few days ago. Since then my PM9600 box stopped booting without monitor.
The config differences are:
option 17 18

CONFIG_ADBMOUSE y n
(The box has Number9 Imagine128 video card)
