If you mean _no output at all_, your serial port might not be working. A quick test: echo test > /dev/ttyS1 Also, LPRng manual states that you must set the permission of /dev/ttyS1 right, etc. See <http://www.astart.com/LPRng/secserial.htm> regards, abe
