Hmm. Just tried the newer pppd. It at least doesn't spit out the error messages the other one was. (The phone line's connected to the PC at the moment, where I'm typing in the message).
It also has the same version number. If it's an improvement, shouldn't it supercede the previous one? Phil [EMAIL PROTECTED]
