smbclient to a Windoze host will result in the files being owned by
whoever you logged into the host as, and the permissions are mangled as
well AFAIK. Backing up to a Linux samba server will at least mangle
permissions (samba uses Linux permissions to store file attribute bits),
files will be owned by whoever you authenticated to the samba host as.
