You should specify a target directory for the rsync (as in:
rsync -avz --delete ppc.samba.org::linux-pmac-stable linux-pmac).
Or just a dot as target directory:
rsync -avz --delete ppc.samba.org::linux-pmac-stable .
(makes the files appear in the current directory)
