I can't help you with the ATI card (although someone else here almost certainly will -- there are a lot of those cards out there), but drop me a line if/when you decide to start running Debian on your PowerCenter if you're going to use the built-in video -- I have an XF86_Config file that works well on my PowerCenter 132 with the built-in Platinum video and 4 MB of VRAM.
