Hi list, As it seems that no gcc updates are available for debian powerpc, I've built them myself today; the alienised gcc stuff on my system seemed to make the use of apt-get upgrade impossible: it want to upgrade to the (older) gcc packages from woody each time.
I used the sources from ftp://dev.linuxppc.org/users/fsirl/R5/SPMS/ and the ./debian directory from unstable's apt-get source gcc The version is 22:41:31 appel ~$ gcc -v Reading specs from /usr/lib/gcc-lib/powerpc-linux/2.95.3/specs gcc version 2.95.3 19991030 (prerelease/franzo/20000625) although for some reason, the dpkg version seems to be `1:2.95.3-1', I don't know why the 1: was added in the woody control files. Anyway, get them at your own risk from: ftp://appel.dyndns.org/pub/debian/gcc http://appel.dyndns.org/debian/gcc Greetings, Jan. -- Jan Nieuwenhuizen <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> | GNU LilyPond - The music typesetter http://www.xs4all.nl/~jantien | http://www.lilypond.org
