I had a similar problem with a wallstreet a friend tried to install potato onto yesterday afternoon. His / partition is on /dev/hda11 and when he tries to boot into linux he gets error messages referring to problems with partition 1, so I'm wondering if the problem is that yaboot is presuming the root partition will have an id < 10 He decided he was going to shuffle his partitions so that / can be < 10 and we'll see what happens then. jpb -- Joe Block <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> University of Central Florida School of Optics/CREOL Network/Systems Administrator Social graces are the packet headers of everyday life.
