The "old way" SMP (Apple/Daystar) is supported but doesn't work very well AFAIK with 2.2 kernels. I know Paul did recently some updates to the SMP code in his 2.4 tree that may help. The "new way" SMP is completely different. Paul also did some work on this, but I don't know how far it goes.
