Hello all, Well here is an update to my install problems... Booting up for the install was no problem (using the miboot img... hfs-boot.img) it was booting up for the first time (to finish the install... you know the apt stuff) that caused to the problems. I could not get the kernel shipped with debian to boot with QUIK (see my "QUIK on the 7200" email). Any way the only other kernels I can get hold of are off the web so I down loaded some 2.2.14 kernels off linuxcare.au (pauls kernels) and also some kernels from linuxppc.org. Pauls kernels get farther then the debian 2.2.15 kernel. they get to the point where modprobe is run and then I'm thrown into xmon (kernel debuger). Something the modprobe does causes the kernel to screw up (I'll have to get a complete dump of the out put on here or somewhere). Of the linuxppc kernels... the only one I have tried so far is the 2.2.2 kernel and that boot alright. I'll make my way up to 2.2.15 now and see what the highest I can go is and still have a working syatem and then maybe I'll try to compile my own since I sort of have a working system now. Any way thanks everyone.
