Yes, they do, Intel did nothing new in this regard. The G3 can monitor it's own junction temperature, can be programmed to fire exceptions when reaching a given level, and can control it's instruction cache throttle (which impact the speed and power consumption) via the ICTC register. This along with other power management features like DOZE and NAP modes, etc...
