After a week to try to install Debian GNU/Linux on my PowerMac 6500, I must to stop. "Too many error in fetch files from file:/install....", "too many errors configuring this", "too many errors to open that". Bref, too many errors everywhere. I come back to LinuxPPC. Maybe less interesting, but surely more friendly.
