Try contacting Linar Yusupov <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, he built a X server ( VGA? ) on a Thinkpad 850, it is PPC with S3 video chip and it is IBM, RS/6000, PReP, ... maybe he did some of the work you are asking for. If you manage to have it packaged inside debian, maybe I'll give it a try in a far (sigh) future. Bye.
