Hi Matt,
I've already installed a working linux for my MVME2301 diskless board with
the disk system on a solaris.
Now I try to install it for a 2303 (64MB instead of 16) with the system
on my Linux ix86 machine.
I've get the latest files (20-Oct-1999): base2_2.tgz, drivers.tgz, boot.bin
and resc1440.bin from your site.
The base installation works fine except the module conf, but since it can
be skiped the installation works.
But when I try to boot after with boot.bin :
root=/dev/nfs nfsroot=192.168.120.35:/export/home2pcu5/powerpc
ip=192.168.120.30
I get :
VFS: Mounted root (ext2 filesystem).
VFS: Cannot open root device 08:01
Kernel panic: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on 08:01
Rebooting in 180 seconds..
with vmlinuz-2.2.12 I get :
VFS: Cannot open root device 00:00
Kernel panic: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on 00:00
Rebooting in 180 seconds..
Do you know this problem ?
