can you tell me the firmware version of the airport card ? It should be displayed in dmesg after you load the module. earlier version were not 128 bits keys capable. If that is the case, you can update it by booting OS X and updating the airport driver. I've forwarded your mail to the orinoco driver maintainer too in case he has a clue.
