OS 9 back in and bootable. But in doing this I decided to change the
keymap I used for debian to an apple_usb_keyboard. And that Solved my
virtual console problem. But then I messed up my linux system again,
and had to reinstall it, now I can't figure out how I changed the
keymap. I've run base-config many times, I've even reinstalled in order
to get the procedure exactly, as far as I could remember, to what it
was, but I have not been able to crack this, could someone point me in
the right direction?
dpkg-reconfigure console-common, or console-data, if I recall correctly.
I have a macally iMediakey usb keyboard, and in order to get the functionality of "virtual consoles" that the Woody installer talks about, I had to use the Apple USB Keyboard (Second Option) and the keys that work are left ctrl+cmd + F1, F2, or F3. Standard USB Keyboard (Option 1) did not map those keys right. I never looked at the output, (if there is any) or the keymap bindings, (that I've read about) but this is just so the information is out there for others
