If your bootstrap partition was remapped, boot on a debian-installer CD, grab a shell, run mac-fdisk and remap it back to its proper location. Mac OS X can't deal with remapped partitions. If this isn't the problem you're facing, then I have no idea. I got rid of OS X on my PB months ago already...
