Does this still hold true? I checked the changelog of the latest hfsplus version

If yes (i.e. still dangerous), can you specify the risk more precisely? The kernel config menu (2.6.8, CONFIG_HFSPLUS_FS) doesn't contain warnings like EXPERIMENTAL or even DEPRECIATED.
