Hi,

More importantly, the HFS+ driver itself still likes to eat file systems from time to time. Mounting HFS+ partitions read-only seems like a prudent thing to do in any case.
Does this still hold true? I checked the changelog of the latest hfsplus version
<http://packages.debian.org/changelogs/pool/main/h/hfsplus/hfsplus_1.0.4-7/changelog>, but could not find any direct hints according to this issue in the changes of last year. So I thought it's worth asking...
If yes (i.e. still dangerous), can you specify the risk more precisely? The kernel config menu (2.6.8, CONFIG_HFSPLUS_FS) doesn't contain warnings like EXPERIMENTAL or even DEPRECIATED.
Many thanks
