given that there is a reasonable response i have been considering just how to arrange this
obviously sub $50 donations would be much appreciated but $50 was just a reasonable amount that would get the job done with jsut a few people. if there are any businesses out there that rely on linux-ppc, support might be a good write off. think of it as development costs or something. the idea is not so much to reward ben not taking away from him, but as mentioned in my original post, its more to get a mac-mini in the hands of someone who has the skills to get it all running. so from my perspective i pay $50, ben mucks around with it. then in a few months i buy one and most of the bugs are ironed out. makes ben a bit of slave labour, but he gets a free computer. ideally it would be good if apple's store had some sort of method of ordering and paying off. although they may have figt vouchers (which would be the way to go). just buy the gift voucher and send it to ben. thoughts? (ill add up the pledges so far later today - im kind of running in and out) Dean On Wed, January 26, 2005 5:22 am, Barry Hawkins said: > -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- > Hash: SHA1 > > Dean Hamstead wrote: > | thats $150 > | > | Dean > [...] > I am willing to give $50 as well, but I am pretty sure we could reach > the amount sooner with a way for folks who may only be able to > contribute $10 - $30.
