Hello! Paul noted to me that the file https://www.debian.org/doc/packaging-manuals/virtual-package-names-list.txt does not list mysql-virtual-* packages.
I suggest you to add it there. This virtual package naming scheme has been agreed on inside the pkg-mysql-maint team (which is accepted according to https://www.debian.org/doc/debian-policy/ch-binary.html#s-virtual_pkg). This has been announced by James Page in August 2014: https://lists.debian.org/debian-devel/2014/08/msg00016.html There were no objections. It has also been announced in MDN#37: https://lists.debian.org/debian-devel-announce/2014/11/msg00015.html The policy is documented at https://wiki.debian.org/Teams/MySQL/virtual-mysql-server and followed by all MariaDB, MySQL, Percona and Mysql-wsrep packages out there, and many many "consuming" packages. It would be good that the file https://www.debian.org/doc/packaging-manuals/virtual-package-names-list.txt also mentioned it.
