If you're going to do that (and I'm certainly not objecting), it's probably
worth tidying up the terminology used in 2.2 and 2.4 (and the introduction
to section 2, in fact).
What 2.2 and 2.4 refer to as categories are "components" as far as apt and
dak (and therefore the Debian archive) are concerned. 2.4 also contains

using "category", "segment"and "distribution area" to refer to the same
thing within a single paragraph. The introduction to section 2 also uses
both category and distribution area.
