I'm interested in QA of packages, especially those that I actually develop and maintain. Currently Debian does not provide an easy-enough infrastructure for easy regression testing, such that sometimes regression testing before upload isn't happening at all. Technically, it's possible using pbuilder and using the following example script: /usr/share/doc/pbuilder/examples/B92test-pkg (which no longer currently works, should be fixed) which invokes scripts under debian/pbuilder-test/* after running a normal pbuilder build. This follows the approach of debian-test package which was removed some time ago with the allegation it wasn't used (it was used by me at least..) My current interest is speeding up pbuilder invocation using cow file system, and I'm planning on fixing up other test related stuff after that, since introducing a functional cow file system support in pbuilder will improve the speed of debugging pbuilder itself. regards, junichi -- [EMAIL PROTECTED],netfort.gr.jp} Debian Project -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
