On initial installation, package should avoid asking debconf questions and detect settings automaticaly if the future function of the machine is known and supported by one of our subprojects or other common settings defined by base-installation applications (eg. correct settings based on location/country and prefered language). Essential settings are stored in the file /etc/system-profiles (one keyword per line), less important settings in the debconf datasets of important packages.
