Just to clarify. One can assume that if Debian Policy starts mandating
things without merit and which cause our users problems, then users will
stop using Debian. Stating that you'll "leave Debian" isn't necessary,
it only serves to provide fodder for a flamewar.

Please, instead of simply stating that you'll "leave Debian", argue the
merits (or lack thereof) of the proposal.

Is the fact that this would be (something) of a departure from standard
UNIX practice the reason you don't like it? Are there any other reasons?
