An actual man page would do a better job of that. The point of this proposal is that people should provide man pages! Lots of people seem to think that as soon as they make a link to undocumented(7), their job is done. Well it's not! If you can create a debian/control file, you can write a simple man page that (at least) explains EXACTLY where the full documentation for this program is to be found -- not just a list of possible places to start hunting. Even a half-assed man page is better than using undocumented(7), and I don't believe there's a person in this project who can't generate a half-assed man page in about 15 minutes, given some example man pages to start with.
