Well, no one appears to have really objected. Response on -devel has been neutral to positive. I say we go with it. As a newly appointed Policy editor, I have the power to enforce my will. /me pauses for a moment, watching the waves of horror break over debian-devel :) However, since Manoj took point on this issue I'll defer to his judgement as to when the comment period should end. Unless he wants to delegate the conclusion of this matter to one of the other editors (Julian, Josip, or me).
