It is a problem whenever you install a package using apt, as apt (if configured) will always use preconfiguring, regardless of what information is/isn't in README.Debian. Also when installing packages with apt, my aim is to get everything configured as quickly as possible, so that vital services aren't shutdown. I don't want to get into the situation that I can't configure a vital package, because apt wants to configure a complicated package first, but I don't know how to answer a difficult question, because I need to learn how to use the package first, which requires reading the documentation first, which has not even been installed yet. -- Brian May <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
