Hi. Something like a 'package' directive in logrotate itself would definitely be better. Unfortunately somebody else would have to do that, since I don't know C (yet). Unless logrotate is changed in a way to prevent nasty things form happening, we'll have to do something that works _now_. The .disable hack works.
PS: Don't get me wrong, I'd really like it if this logrotate change would be done. ciao, 2ri -- All constants are variables.
