Package: Debian Policy Manual
Version: version 2.5.0.0, 1998-10-30

Regarding the debian policy online at the URL:
        http://www.debian.org/doc/debian-policy/ch3.html#s-sysvinit

The policy document contains the line below that shows "default" as
the second argument being passed to the update-rc.d script.
However, examination of the update-rc.d script as well as the
manual page for the script appears to indicate that update-rc.d is
actually looking for "defaults", and not "default".

        update-rc.d package default >/dev/null
