Package: debian-policy Version: 2.4.1.2 I can see there are some daemons (like junkbuster and maybe syslogd) which runs as root even if they could run as a non priviledged user. What about adding a policy statement to outlaw that?
A --user option could be added to start-stop-daemon. -- ciao, Marco
