Hi, I suggest the policy editor be selected as one whose judgment, technical expertise, and ability to lead and conclude a technical discussion have been proven. In my opinion, Ian qualifies.
I have already volunteered to write a document about `Good software practices as relevant to maintaining Debian packages' which requires the co-operation of the policy editor; and I would volunteer to be a co-policy-editor, if deemed qualified for the post; I do not have the time to take sole responsibility, and, anyway, I think that a panel may be better for this task anyway (lower chances of people harboring propertiary feelings about the document). manoj who has no idea what blight means in this context -- The blight of a woman is misconduct. The blight of a giver is meanness. Bad mental states are indeed blights in this world and the next. 242 Manoj Srivastava <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> <http://www.datasync.com/%7Esrivasta/> Key C7261095 fingerprint = CB D9 F4 12 68 07 E4 05 CC 2D 27 12 1D F5 E8 6E -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
