In short, I would summarize my old bug as follows: 1) A .m file in the future (or a computer in the past) causes octave to reload it. [ Everything right so far ]. 2) The current kpathsea library makes the reloading very slow, and this is planned to be fixed, according to the PROJECTS file. My bug report was 1)+2), but the maintainer insisted in closing it by saying it was just 1). In the specific dispute I'm involved, I have reported 2) now as a separate bug, and now the maintainer calls me stubborn and says that not even 2) is a bug. I hope you will agree with me that this is good reason for me to want *some* policy about bug reports to be approved soon. But I have to agree with you in that normal procedures should not be bypassed. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: 2.6.3ia Charset: latin1 iQCVAgUBNS5dpiqK7IlOjMLFAQE5WQQAgtbHyyEe+CvmrtE9IRrMGxrSk4A1z+PM 8y3sbXDKyYBdsuMzTx5scFQDEYPEHEy7Wi0iNl9x+RqhjGrUTxOcan586iTZF0u1 MXvpfF5jUl70hgRrYGmKHynRXZ2e3XnTUQNjfMnrJ9JLuWvEAggY+QkF1CmbvEtO dKSlr+YvJLo= =kSmy -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
