Well, as I understand it, the icons would actually reside under /usr/share/..., and (perhaps) /usr/X11R6/include/X11/pixmaps would link to it. The rationale is to try to get architecture independant data (i.e., pixmaps) into a single tree (/usr/share) so they could be better shared between systems (think NFS mounts between Debian/Alpha and Debian/x86). .....A.
