John is keen to add wifi firmware packages for the known free firmware along with the supporting build infrastructure packages. That requires a lot of skills and John has always shown a good knowlege of the Debian Policy. I think this is a very valuable contribution to Debian as the firmware-linux-free package has never been set-up to build its binary packages from source.
