Oops... seems somehow my actual bug description got lost during sending. Here's what I intended to write:

   * What led up to the situation?
   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
     ineffective)?
   * What was the outcome of this action?

I made a ~30 minute stereo recording with ardour 8, which sounds fine when re-played from within the application. However, when I export the recording to an audio file (like wav or mp3) and subsequently open the audio file with, say, vlc, audacity or clementine, it turns out that the exported audio is choppy, i. e. there are lots
of short gaps intersperesed all over the file.
Also, the actual export job takes way longer than it used to be with ardour 7.

   * What outcome did you expect instead?

I expected the exported audio file to sound exactly as the recording when played back from within ardour.
