Package: handbrake Version: 1.6.1+ds1-2 Severity: important Dear Maintainer,
After upgrading to this version, handbrake appears to have lost the ability to detect and use Vorbis-encoded audio in source files. When opening such a file it pauses (breifly for small files, longer for large files) and eventually presents an audio-free processing environment. The Add button also fails to add the audio track. A source file with MP3 audio encoded works as expected. Re-coding media with another program to use high-bitrate MP3 then re-passing it through Handbrake for final compression also works. Thank you for looking into this matter. -- System Information: Debian Release: trixie APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 6.4.0-3-amd64 (SMP w/24 CPU threads; PREEMPT) Locale: LANG=en_AU.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_AU.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE=en_GB:en_US Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages handbrake depends on: ii libass9 1:0.17.1-1 ii libavcodec-extra60 [libavcodec60] 7:6.0-6 ii libavfilter9 7:6.0-6 ii libavformat60 7:6.0-6 ii libavutil58 7:6.0-6 ii libbluray2 1:1.3.4-1 ii libc6 2.37-7 ii libcairo2 1.16.0-7 ii libdvdnav4 6.1.1-1 ii libdvdread8 6.1.3-1 ii libgdk-pixbuf-2.0-0 2.42.10+dfsg-1+b1 ii libglib2.0-0 2.77.2-1 ii libgstreamer-plugins-base1.0-0 1.22.5-1 ii libgstreamer1.0-0 1.22.5-1 ii libgtk-3-0 3.24.38-4 ii libgudev-1.0-0 237-2 ii libjansson4 2.14-2 ii libpango-1.0-0 1.51.0+ds-2 ii libswresample4 7:6.0-6 ii libswscale7 7:6.0-6 ii libtheora0 1.1.1+dfsg.1-16.1+b1 ii libturbojpeg0 1:2.1.5-2 ii libva-drm2 2.19.0-1 ii libva2 2.19.0-1 ii libvorbis0a 1.3.7-1 ii libvorbisenc2 1.3.7-1 ii libvpl2 2023.3.0-1 ii libx264-164 2:0.164.3095+gitbaee400-3+b1 ii libx265-199 3.5-2+b1 ii libxml2 2.9.14+dfsg-1.3 Versions of packages handbrake recommends: ii gstreamer1.0-libav 1.22.5-1 pn gstreamer1.0-pulseaudio | gstreamer1.0-alsa <none> ii gstreamer1.0-x 1.22.5-1 handbrake suggests no packages. -- no debconf information
