Package: shotcut Version: 23.06.14+git20230616+ds-1 Severity: important Dear Maintainer,
On my system at least, Shotcut 23 displays a blank area where the timeline should be. The portable tar image provided by the Shotcut project at https://shotcut.org/download/ does not show this issue. Doing a bit of mix and match with this upstream tar image, I can reproduce the issue there by not setting QML2_IMPORT_PATH in their wrapper script. To my untrained eye, it appears the upstream is shipping with qml files from Qt6, whereas the packages available from Debian (qml-module-qtquick2 etc.) are from Qt5. -- System Information: Debian Release: trixie/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing'), (450, 'unstable'), (400, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 6.1.0-9-amd64 (SMP w/8 CPU threads; PREEMPT) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE not set Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages shotcut depends on: ii frei0r-plugins 1:2.3.0-dmo1 ii libc6 2.36-9 ii libfftw3-double3 3.3.10-1 ii libgcc-s1 12.2.0-14 ii libjs-three 111+dfsg1-3 ii libmlt++7 7.14.0-1 ii libmlt7 7.14.0-1 ii libqt6core6 6.4.2+dfsg-10 ii libqt6gui6 6.4.2+dfsg-10 ii libqt6multimedia6 6.4.2-5 ii libqt6network6 6.4.2+dfsg-10 ii libqt6opengl6 6.4.2+dfsg-10 ii libqt6qml6 6.4.2+dfsg-1 ii libqt6quick6 6.4.2+dfsg-1 ii libqt6quickcontrols2-6 6.4.2+dfsg-1 ii libqt6quickwidgets6 6.4.2+dfsg-1 ii libqt6sql6 6.4.2+dfsg-10 ii libqt6widgets6 6.4.2+dfsg-10 ii libqt6xml6 6.4.2+dfsg-10 ii libstdc++6 12.2.0-14 ii melt 7.14.0-1 ii qml-module-qtgraphicaleffects 5.15.8-2 ii qml-module-qtqml-models2 5.15.8+dfsg-3 ii qml-module-qtquick-controls 5.15.8-2 ii qml-module-qtquick-controls2 5.15.8+dfsg-2 ii qml-module-qtquick-dialogs 5.15.8-2 ii qml-module-qtquick-extras 5.15.8-2 ii qml-module-qtquick-layouts 5.15.8+dfsg-3 ii qml-module-qtquick-window2 5.15.8+dfsg-3 ii qml-module-qtquick2 5.15.8+dfsg-3 ii shotcut-data 23.06.14+git20230616+ds-1 shotcut recommends no packages. shotcut suggests no packages. -- no debconf information
