Yes I was aware of the non-GPL license of fdk-aac and the non-free
implications that you mentioned.
I had a short paragraph on that point in my original join request, but
ironically the email got lost during 'save'! When I retyped the
request I forgot to include it (and maybe some other intended points I
do not remember).
Anyway, thank you for covering this in detail. And also thank you for
granting Multimedia Maintainer access.
I will attempt to do the work in the Salsa git repo and follow your
other suggestions. This is the first time I have worked on line like
this. We shall see how it goes.
