Package: vlc Version: 3.0.7-1 Followup-For: Bug #920931 I have found out now, how to successfully reproduce the bug:
1. Start playing a video. 2. Switch to full-screen. 3. Jump (while still in full-screen) to the end of video. 4. After the video is finished, VLC returns to windowed mode. Now drag & drop another video into VLC-window Result: VLC will now start playing the new video going automatically back into full- screen mode, but it is not having the focus. And thus, the hotkeys do not work in this situation. In order to regain focus and to make the hotkeys working again one has to click inside VLC window. Conclusion: I do not know, whether the original bug reporter is talking about a different bug. Should it be the same problem which I am talking about, then maybe its not really a bug, but an unintuitive design choice. Expected behaviour: After the video is finished and VLC returns to windowed mode, it should a.) Either not go automatically back into full-screen again, when I feed it with some new videos. Or b.)
