Thanks for the push. The gbp.conf should ensure that pristine-tar is
used by default, so I don't know why it was not used when you imported
the new upstream release.
Unfortunately I still could not build the package. Initially because
local modifications to the upstream sources (svm files were still
present, but should be excluded via Files-Excluded). After fixing that
the build failed due to several missing headers for which build
dependencies needed to be added:
opencv/cv.h libcv-dev
opencv2/photo/photo.hpp libopencv-photo-dev
opencv2/contrib/contrib.hpp libopencv-contrib-dev
And then all was good. :-)
